Sarah Jessica Parker is being realistic about her age and the roles she should play in the future, hoping to change the current stereotypes of 20-40 year olds in romantic leads.
"I read the script the other day and I said to my agent, 'I'm too old for this part now.' I knew it as soon as I read the description," the 40-year-old actress said recently in response to a script she was sent. "But it was such a nice thing that I knew it, that I wasn't still trying to cling to something that never really applied to me anyway. It's so much better to know the truth and be surrounded by people who will say, 'You know what, you're probably right,' than a bunch of people who will let you live in delusion. The truth is, you can't stop the clock."
