Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Biel in talks to star in the risque political satire "Nailed." Biel would play Sammy Joyce, a socially awkward small-town receptionist who has a nail accidentally shot into her head by a clumsy workman, eliciting wild sexual urges. The uninsured Joyce goes on a crusade to Washington to fight for the rights of the bizarrely injured, where she meets an immoral congressman (Gyllenhaal) who takes advantage of her sex drive and capitalizes on her crusade. The flick is being co-written by Al Gore's daughter, Kristin Gore, and David O. Russell.

Jessica Biel is in talks to play Wonder Woman in big screen superhero adventure Justice League of America. Biel is the first star to be connected the project, which is expected to also feature Superman, Batman, the Flash and Aquaman. Biel is currently filming the drama Powder Blue, finishes up in October.

MTV working to prevent catfight

Reps for Cameron Diaz and Jessica Biel are reportedly working hard to prevent the two Justin Timberlake amours from bumping into each other at the MTV Movie Awards on June 3. "Everyone is determined to keep Cam and Jess apart," says an insider. "It's becoming a big deal because both girls want very separate arrival times. Nobody knows who Cameron is going to bring, if anyone. But if Jessica walks with Justin, Cameron will want to bring a date. If Jessica goes alone, Cam will probably walk alone. It's a mess." Diaz allegedly "blew up" at Biel at a Golden Globes afterparty in January when she spotted the Illusionist actress flirting with her recent ex, and the MTV awards this Sunday marks the first time the three will be in the same room since the incident. "Cam is used to being more high-profile than Jessica," says the insider. "But now that Jessica's dating Justin, she has more leverage. Cameron's looking a little unstable lately." Timberlake is nominated for best breakthrough performance for Alpha Dog, and Diaz is nominated in the best-kiss category with Jude Law in The Holiday. Biel is presenting, but not in Diaz's category! Reps for all three stars have not commented.

"They were kissing and holding hands," says a witness who spied the pair at the posh Lowry Hotel in Manchester. The pair "held hands" three days earlier during a private dinner, according to a fellow diner. Reps for both stars have declined to comment.

Rumors of a romance between the two began earlier this month when Biel went backstage at the singer's San Diego concert and continued to surface when the Illusionist star flew to Park City to snowboard and hang out. "It's all about having fun," a source told People mag. "He's trying to have a good time... He is in no way looking to be in a relationship. He's single and happy." Biel is reported to be the source of a well-publicized spat between Timberlake and recent ex Cameron Diaz at Prince's Golden Globes afterparty, where Biel told Timberlake's mom, "He is sooo cute!" I can't say I disagree.
