Heather Mills plans to sue the British tabloid News of the World once her divorce from Paul McCartney has been finalized. The tabloid published an article over the weekend alleging Mills worked as a high-class prostitute in the early 1990s - this only a week after another British paper, the Sun, published photos of the Beatle's estranged wife engaging in explicit acts. Mills insists the photos, available for sale from a German website selling sexual material, are meant to be an instructional "lover's guide." A statement from her lawyers in reaction to the recent article said, "The timing of the article is clearly designed to cause maximum hurt to Heather, her husband and family at this sensitive time. Heather is very distressed by this article. She continues to recover slowly from her revision amputation operation and has suffered weight loss, anxiety and sleeping problems as a result of the stress and anxiety of the break-up of her marriage. The coverage of this in certain newspapers has caused further distress and illness to her." The News of the World has announced that they have sworn affidavits from a private secretary claiming to have paid Mills for "pleasuring his billionaire master" and statements from former prostitutes who allegedly worked with her. The News reportedly broke the scandal four years ago but were forced not to publish until now under the threat of legal action from Paul McCartney's lawyers.
