Keanu Reeves told the press that his A Scanner Darkly co-star Winona Ryder skipped the Cannes film fest because she can't get past the embarrassment of her shoplifting conviction four years ago. "Robert [Downey Jr.] and I were speaking of how we miss her and wish she was here because she's such a delightful person and really good actress," said Reeves. "But for her to be here and have to deal with all these other kinds of questions - I don't know if she's quite ready to do that."

I don't think anyone really gives a shite this much latter.
being embarrassed seems pretty appropriate considering the act, but after talking it over some, it was agreed that god, the pope and i will all forgive her if she appears completely naked in a well-lit scene for at least 60 seconds and gives us a good long look at both her points of contrition, her tangled mass of repentance and her posterior of restitution. and if while she is doing this, she said a hail mary, that would be ok too.
naturally, god has already seen all this before, but the pope and i are totally jazzed about it
