Heath Ledger has been offered a role in the next Batman film. Although other big names - such as Robin Williams, Steve Buscemi and Paul Bettany - have been mentioned in association with the part of The Joker, media reports say "the offer was officially made to Heath Ledger" on Wednesday.

Cool!!! I can see him pulling the part off.
Wow,I'd heard that role went to Sean Penn, which I couldn't see him doing. personally Paul Bettany would have been a good choice.
