Armstong finishes NYC marathon

Lance Armstrong completed the "hardest physical thing" he's ever done this weekend by finishing the New York City marathon. The Tour de France legend crossed the finish line in 2 hours, 59 minutes and 36 seconds, just reaching his goal of running the race in under 3 hours. "Even the worst days in the tours, nothing was as hard as that," Armstrong told reporters. "Nothing left me feeling the way I feel now in terms of sheer fatigue and soreness." Nearing the finish line, the cyclist reportedly walked bent over with his hands on his knees. "Running a marathon was a wild goal that I had, but it's not a job. It's not something I trained hours and hours and hours every day for," Armstrong said. "For the level of conditioning that I have now, without a doubt that was the hardest physical thing I've ever done." Armstrong's frequent training partner and BFF Matthew McConaughey did not run the race.

Quote circulating on the internet : "Is there anything Armstrong is not good at? Yeah, monogamy!"

Notice that thousands of people crossed that finishing line. Kudos to them for doing that without blowing their accomplishment up in the press, and without having people like Joan Benoit, Alberto Salazar, Grete Waitz, Al Geroush etc etc pace them.
BIG DEAL. Even his ex did it without all the oompah.
