Jessica Simpson and John Mayer rang in the new year with a "full-on" makeout session at the Hudson Hotel in New York. "He was scratching her back, they were kissing, it wasn't subtle," said a source of the pair's appearance at the party hosted by Christina Aguilera. The pair reportedly spent the night together at the Mercer Hotel in SoHo. Simpson and Mayer have been denying a relationship for months, but it seems the ruse if off. "John has been thrilled that they have been tricking the media, but she doesn't really care," says an insider. "His Christmas present to her was a framed copy of the US Weekly cover that says 'Dumped: John ditches Jessica.'" The couple spent the day shopping at Barneys and had dinner together at Country before stopping by the New Year's Eve bash.
