Britney and her mom reconcile

Britney Spears's mom Lynne spoke to Us mag about her daughter's troublesome year. "You go into a time in your life with the world watching and you are just trying to figure yourself out," Spears Sr. told the mag. "It's sad that the whole world had to watch her make mistakes that all of us have made at one time or another." Spears and her famous daughter reconciled on June 10 after a few months' estrangement and are now making amends in their relationship. "She decided that she had to cut out everyone who was using her, and that included her parents," a source says of the popstar. "Lynne was like Britney's best friend, so when Britney started partying and her mom tried to control her, she got mad." Lynne Spears says of their reconciliation: "Britney Jean Spears is the sweetest and the most sensitive and loving of all my children. She's just figuring things out."
