Fashion designer Liz Claiborne died Tuesday at the age of 78. After a battle with cancer, Claiborne died at New York Presbyterian Hospital, it was announced earlier today. "In losing Liz Claiborne, we have not only lost the founder of our company, but an inspirational woman who revolutionized the fashion industry 30 years ago," the CEO of Liz Claiborne Inc said in a statement. "Her commitment to style and design is ever present in our thinking and the way we work. We will remember Liz for her vision, her entrepreneurial spirit and her enduring compassion and generosity."

I started to wear Liz Clairborne clothing in high school and still wear them,because of I like the style and comfort. I feel that the iron-free blouses and pants are perfect for any social setting.Liz Clairborne in my opinion, is the GUCCI of the average American woman.
