Paris arrested for DUI

Party girl Paris Hilton was arrested early this morning for suspicion driving under the influence. An LAPD officer told the press that the socialite was stopped at 12:31 a.m. after she was spotted "driving erratically." Hilton, whose passenger in the car was fellow celebrity offspring Kimberley Stewart, was given a field sobriety test and blew the minimum blood alcohol level for a DUI, which is .08. She was taken to the cop shop and was booked, and later was picked up by her sister Nicky and Entourage star Kevin Connolly. Hilton's rep, Elliot Mintz, told the press that his client had attended a charity event and had one margarita. "She's absolutely fine," Mintz said. "She didn't appear in the least bit to be intoxicated." TMZ managed to speak with Hilton on her way home from the police station when she stopped to buy cigarettes. The Simple Life star said she had been up for 24 hours, had had nothing to eat all day and "regrets it occurred."
