Ellen lends name to virtual seal

Ellen Degeneres can add another title next to her list of roles: virtual seal. The talk show host is lending her name to a new website that hopes to educate people about how they can help save the environment and protect aquatic animals. Dawn Saves Wildlife has an animated seal character named after Degeneres, and site visitors can participate by becoming virtual animals and learning sea-saving tips. "I just think [seals] are adorable. I've always loved animals and I want to do anything I can do to help," Degeneres said of her participation in the project. "All these things are so easy, that if we all did them, it would make such a huge difference."
