Ellen Pompeo to get hitched

Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo and her boyfriend, music producer Chris Ivery, are engaged. Ivery presented Pompeo with a 3.5-carat emerald-cut diamond for her birthday on Friday. The pair met at an LA grocery store three years ago, and discovered that they had grown up ten miles apart from each other near Boston. No date or location has been set for the wedding, but Pompeo has said, "My boyfriend and I travel to Italy quite often and I think that's always the most romantic for us. We went to Bologna and he has family there and I think that's our favorite place."
